Ernest Hemingway

I have tried several times to get through a Hemingway book, haven't made it yet. The man never used one sentance if two or three paragraphs would work as well.

He did do quite a bit of macho stuff when he was young. Although a lot of people say he did it just so he could brag about doing it. And from what I've read he was a bit of a loudmouth and bully. I never met him of course, so I could be wrong. (or maybe just jealous)

I've always liked Hemmingway. He was the first writer to write for the masses in a long time. Like Jack London, he wrote about life and lived everything he ever wrote. He didn't go to the library to research his material. He was his material. What a life! So sad that he chose to end it when he did.
