Right. The problem is that neither Uncle Mikes nor its successor company makes those one-time very popular S&W "factoty" grips. And neither the S&W staff nor any Uncle Mikes/Butler Creek ex staff know anything about anything.
So, because many, many thousands of S&W revolvers still wear those grips, and the grips are highly favored and sought after, what better place than this particular forum to ask if the escutcheons are still available or replaceable by cannibalizing the screws and escutcheons from other brands of grips?
