I looked up and down the forums and am not sure where to put this. Since they're on my 40-1 I figured I'd put it here. If it's the wrong spot, please move it and I'm sorry. If I decide to sell/trade them I'll make a post in the classifieds.

What I would like to know is what value to put on them? They're in nice shape with some light scratches (hard to show in pics but I can try harder if needed). I'm just not a boot grip kind of guy and perfer magnas or magnas and a T on everything.

I sold a super nice set on here awhile ago and put a price tag of 75$ on them and they didnt last long at all.

Depending on the wood, checkering and sometimes grain, they are just over $100 new

Yours are used and have scratches.

Without seeing what they are and how they look, I would figure $50 shipped

I have no idea what the wood is but if anyone wants to take a stab at it, be my guest! The scratches are very light. They're on the left side panel towards the top. More than likely from practice with a speed loader. There is a little of the finish that came off that is visible in the pic , left panel where the finger hump is. Otherwise they're very nice. Wouldn't take much to get them looking brand new, although since they're made for carry I personally wouldn't even mess with them.

That wood is Cocobolo.

The mismatch on the bottom would have been a deal breaker for me if Esmerelda had sent those.

Her work is usually exceptional.

Sorry, I didn't buy them new. I'm sure they came perfect and I agree I wouldn't accept that for $100+ new price. Looks like that little "hook" on the bottom of the left panel chipped off. If I keep them I might just sand the other side to match. Thanks for the info guys.

If I recall correctly, those will only fit a 40-1? Because of the grip safety, they are narrower than a J Frame, but being the full sized J Frame, they wouldn't fit a 40 no dash (Improved I Frame).

Not sure about the size of them compared to regular j frames. I quickly measured the back strap @ .340". I don't have another j handy.

I also realized I need a pic or 2 of the 40. :D

Edit: I can hopefully try them on one of my brothers j's this weekend if I make it over to their side of town.

Do you still have 442 I swapped to you? You could try them on that and see if they fit other J's.

Sadly I traded it for a 60. I moved completely away from airweights. That 442 was great though. Shot exactly where I pointed it and trigger was good. It was my daily carry until very recently.

While I didn't try these on another gun yet I was googling around and I believe H Richard is right. These might be 40-1 only. Has to do with the shape of the half circle mostly from what I gather. So if I want magnas, it'll probably have to be stock 40-1 grips because I'm not sure what I could do to the metal washers on the regular ones. :(
