Even I Can Get Lucky M57 With Pic

A while back I longed for the days when I could walk into a gunshop and find a NIB S&W of the type prior to the 1980s. A good-ole-pinned-and-recessed-Smith....box, papers, and all.

I got lucky back then and found a M24-3 4 inch .44 Special with the three-only test fired chambers.

I got lucky again. This M57 has ALL of EVERYTHING including the original sales receipt of 1974 and $378.00. It is completely unfired as I assume at that time they were not test-fired at the factory.

Keep looking ladies and gents, they are out there.

378.00 in '74 is WOW $1,765.12 in 2008 inflation adjusted dollars!

I already have 6 boxes of Speer 220 grain jacketed SWCs, 500 Remington 210 grain JSPs and I intend to try a few Hornady 210 grain HP/XTPs....all full house loads.

Well blairgarber, I guess its true most guns are not good investments. This one did not keep up with inflation. I bought it for $780.00 delivered.
