After reading the full story, I have made up my mind to never throw stones. The downside is too extreme.

Wow, he's a lot smarter than a lot of people I've run into lately. Like the welfare mother yesterday that blocked the entire entrance to the Post Office, leaving her car running with two little rugrats inside. Cars were backed up in the street and I left my car and went in and yelled someone needed to move her car. Well, she didn't like that, she told me she knew what she had to do, and slowly walked up to the counter to continue her business. Nice attitude.......asshat..... Shoo

Ever go to a zoo and see a gorillia poop in his hand and sling it at the crowd?

Hahaha! Yep.
"They ultimately decided to castrate him in the autumn last year, but will have to wait until the summer to see if that helps."

Must be rough to be castrated in the autumn.

Kind of makes you wonder at the "researchers" assertion: "It implies that they have a highly developed consciousness, including lifelike mental simulations of potential events."

Seems he didn't factor in that knife as a potential event??

This explains why the other chimps can't find rocks of their own!
This a normal reaction of chimps to having their feelings hurt becouse they have no pants on.We must give them better clothes and housing. Then and only then we can take away his rocks.

They're not only taking away his rocks, they're taking away his stones.

If he can plan ahead as well as they think he can, he's probably planning a break to go after the vet who "altered" him.

Hope he makes it.
