Ever heard of "Throat Whistling"?

I had forgotten about this....
I saw these videos a while ago.

Apparently there is a thing called "throat whistling" where you whistle through your throat (hence the name - duh). I had never heard of this skill until I saw the clip.

I remember reading about it and some primitive people do it. Something like bushmen and their "clicking".

I looked up throat 'singing' in several cultures and all it sound like to me was grunting. I don't know what pleasure anyone could derive from that. Apparently they've never heard of Maria Callas or Judy Garland.

I've tried a few times in my older years but can't get much going. I used to whistle fair when I was a kid.
