Thank you to James Penley for sending this to me.

Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia. A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.

Nowadays one can be led to believe that America no longer respects honor and no longer honors sacrifice outside the military. Be it known that there are many places in this land where people still recognize the courage and impact of total self-sacrifice. Georgia remains one of those graceful places. The link below is a short travelogue of that day's remarkable and painful journey. But only watch this if you wish to have some of your faith in people restored. Please share widely. Well worth watching.

I know these are just words and they've been said over and over, but I can't say it enough...

Thank you veterans, for providing the blanket of freedom that my family and I rest under. I am forever in your debt.

Without a doubt, the best post I've ever seen on this or any other forum. Finally we can see concrete evidence that there is hope for our country. Thank GOD for these people. Thank GOD for the brave man who made the ultimate sacrifice and laid down his life for his
countrymen. Thank you for posting this. You were absolute correct. GOD bless America.

No words can describe what I'm feeling after watching that video. Thanks for sharing fat tom.

We lost 3 members of the Ga Guard June 4 to an IED-

Major Kevin Jenrette
Staff Sergeant John Beale
Specialist Jeffrey Jordan

In April, 08, a similar procession came by my house, carrying SSG Shaun Whitehead, the first man killed from my county, to rest.

Georgia has given many in Iraq and Afghanistan.
God rest their souls and comfort their families.

I can't even stand to watch or read these kinds of things anymore, it is just one of those things you can't express

thanks

ft, thanks, i know how you and your fellow countrymen feel, i have the same reaction everytime i read one of our service people has given the total sacrifice.

FT, Thanks for posting this. A fitting tribute to remind us this Independance Day that Freedom is not free.Words are so small when it comes to paying tribute to a fallen soldier. Thank God for Staff Sgt. John Beale & those who serve our country. God's Speed.

One of the few times in my life that I am not ashamed to say it made my cry. That is a beautiful thing to see.

"Blessed Be The Peacekeepers, For They Are The Children Of GOD!"

Damn my screen is all blurry now. Must be something in the air. God Bless all our troops and my heartfelt thanks to all veterans.

Wow. That was perhaps the finest use of video and the internet that I've ever seen. Thanks for posting that, FT. I don't often forward such messages, but I did; as you said: every American should see that one.

That was worth ever minute of watching.

I choked up early seeing the guys on the right saluting.

Thanks you so much for posting.

God Bless America.

Thanks Tom
I'll certainly pass this around .
And THANKS to all our service men and women !

I know what you mean.

There are some fine people living in Georgia.

Thanks for posting this. I sent it to everyone on my mailing list. I don't often forward things but this one is one that everyone needs to see.

There are still some real Americans left in this country.

I'm another one that got bleary eyed watching it, and with a son preparing for his 3rd deployment, it really got to me.

God Bless our troops and our Country

Regards,
Iggy
