What type of every day carry knife, do you own.? Mine is a CRKT Ignitor, good knife, made in China; but large. I'm going for something lighter and smaller. For those of you that have a 3 inch or less blade, how do you like your knife. Also lets keep the price down to under 50 dollars. I've read all the knife forums and internet reviews, but lets hear from the real world. Thanks for your help. Mike

I usually carry my Sog Trident Tanto. Spring Assist with Aus-8 steel. Blade length is just under 4 inches. Sharpens easily and is also a decent defense knife in a pinch. Check em out. Around $50-59 off Amazon. Also got the buck Alpha folder which also comes with a pouch and rubber grip handle.

Kershaw Ososweet. Or a cheap $3 camillus i found on clearance. It does okay for light duty tasks and saves my better blades.

I swap between Benchmades, Kershaws, Artisans and a Zero Tolerance. All are ambi. clipped to my left pocket, tip up. Just not at once!:D

Kershaw Leek is an old favorite , I have two , but have discovered the Kershaw Fatback # 1935 to be just a bit more to my liking . The grip is much better and blade profile is excellent and they sell for $25.00 on Amazon , it has the speed safe opening and if you loose it you don't cry .
Leeks are near $50.00 on Amazon now .
It's just a good knife for the money and rides in my back pocket alongside my wallet .

Zero Tolerance 0566cf Hinderer 3.25”

I’m not at all a knife guy. I bought a cheap folder a bunch of years ago and began carrying it and it occurred to me shortly thereafter that carrying a knife all day every day was extremely handy.

So I asked a gun bro of mine who dabbles in quality knives and basically told him that I was never going to geek out over a knife but I wanted something quality, with a quality blade steel that would hold an edge. I didn’t mind spending a little bit of cash, but I wanted good value for whatever I spent and it was a few weeks and this one became available, he suggested that it might be the one for me so I jumped at it, knowing nearly zilch about knives.

I’ve been carrying this one maybe 3 years? I still know zilch about knives but this one has been a fantastic tool to have with me all of the time.

I was correct in my assumption that I likely will never geek out over knives and make a hobby of it. It’s the only knife that I carry and I don’t own a backup. (so I better not lose it!)

My EDC knife is a Marbles (MSA Gladstone - made in USA - no longer in business) made in 2001. It has 3 carbon steel blades and rides in a custom made leather belt pouch, made by none other than Snubbyfan. This knife has been with me for 19 years and the sheath, which Wayne has made within the last year is absolutely perfect to carry it in.

I have at least 50 plus knives to choose from however this particular one is the best, most comfortable, sharpest and one that is practical to carry ED.

Every day carry knife

I have two automatic Bokers from my police days. One small, one larger. I carry the smaller one in town and the larger during outdoor pursuits. I'll try and post photos later.

Kershaw Cryo II

I have carried Kershaw Cryo II folder for years, aka 1555TI Hinderer Design. I've given them as gifts to friends and they carry them faithfully. It's surefire easy to open and close one handed without any practice or finger contortions, and is totally safe. I de-horn mine by taking off the blade thumb studs and the belt clip, making it well rounded and easy on my pocket. I have a backup in my drawer in case I lose it. $31 from Amazon.
