An armed ex-con kills two police officers in Westerville, OH. The PD receives and 911 hang up call from the convicts wife. Two uniform officers are dispatched to her apartment. Upon entering, both were suddenly ambushed and shot. An officer was able to return fire striking the suspect. One officer died at the scene, the other at a local hospital. The suspect survived his wound and has been charged. County Prosecutor stated he will seek the death penalty. Two others have been charged with the straw gun purchase of a Glock handgun in suburban Cleveland. These events are happening far too frequently.

And the story in today's paper is that the police had been called to that same location three times recently for domestic violence. When I lived in that area over 45 years ago, Westerville was a quiet peaceful suburb of Columbus. I guess not so much now.

Very tragic! If they need help pulling the lever, I'll make sure I am available.

RIP, brothers...

A close friend was the police chief in Westerville several years ago and knew both cops very well. He's having a hard time with their loss even though he's been gone from there for over 10 years. These things have a very wide reach.

I hope they try the 2 for the straw purchase for murder also, since they were responsible for this scum having a gun in the first place.

I'd buy a lotto ticket that would let the winner push the button that puts the juice in this dirtbag's veins. To me it is like taking out the trash, not very enjoyable but necessary.

I live about 5 miles east of where the ambush took place. The mood here in Central Ohio, is very sad right now, The outpouring of grief is way beyond amazing!

The trial will probably have to be moved. Jury duty only pays $15 a day and you pay parking, If I could be on this jury, I'd do it without hesitation! The problem is, Franklin county has the national prototype randomizer for jury selection, and I'm out until Feb., 2019!

The BG paid his best friend $100 over the cost of the Glock 17 to get him a piece. Guess what BG used to kill 2 GOODGUYS? Best friend arrested for aiding and abetting and providing a weapon to a conficted felon.

Unfortunately, BG made it through the shoot out!
