Any opinions on Fiocchi 158 grain (non - +P) LRN out of a 2" barrel M&P (pre-Model 10)? Too hot? Or not? I kind of like Fiocchi as it does seem to be more accurate and cleaner than most.

I have used Fiocchi ammo for quite awhile and find it reliable and accurate. I mostly have bought .455, but have also shot .38 Special without problems. I think it might be a little lighter recoil than some other brands I have shot, which is a good thing for target practice.

You might want to move this to the ammo section to get more opinions from those experts, as they may have more information to share.

Good idea. Other opinions?

Fiocchi is top quality ammo. Standard 38 sp loading of 158 gr LRN is what your M&P is designed to shoot. The sights should be regulated for that round.

I just tried Fiocchi 130 grain FMJ - standard pressure (38 Super) in a Colt Pistol that I recently inherited. While even hotter than the Remington +P version, it worked flawlessly and I will say was relatively reasonable price wise. Seems like good stuff although their boxes are a little on the flimsy side.
