Has anyone looked into the legality of a diy ext clip by either making two into one or using sheet metal and a spare spring?

As far as legality it might most likely varies from state to state. California comes to mind. Here in PA I knew a LEO that had a Glock with spare 30rd mag (factory made) in the glove compartment of his cruiser.
Since the most problems with semi-auto pistols are mag related I (personally) would not try to make one.

My son-in-law has a thirty round mag for his Glock. Sure defeats the purpose of having a compact size/light weight pistol. I guess it would be nice if you are in a fire fight. I used to laugh at my fellow officers at their concern for having enough reloads when they were carrying a Barretta with 16 round mags, and all I had was a six shot revolver. Even though I was just messing with them, I liked to tell them that if they knew how to shoot straight, they wouldn't need that many rounds.

I do know that there is a company out there right now that makes plastic magazine extensions that add one or two more rounds. I haven't found one made for sigmas yet. Everything seems to be made for the GLOCK. Darn evil, foreign gun!!

I have seen folks on youtube that have spliced two 45cal mags together successfully. I guess anything is possible.

I understand that there are a couple of states that restrict the capacity of magazines. Before modifying your mags, you might want to check your state.

Good luck, and please let us know how it works out for you.

great now we are going to have about 50 guys telling you its a mag not a clip, well it looks like i was the first.

but seriously why would you want to? it already holds 16 and it only takes a sec. to drop the mag and slide a new one in.

screw the extend mag go for the 90rd drum!

One step at a time lol.mine holds 14 and I want more because I'm american.some ppl ask why do this, And that's why I try and do things other don't.but if this functions ok bet ur *** the drum is next

Ya I saw that I was thinking of something with out tape on it lol I gotta new job w the tools i need imma start working on it monday I'll post pics

Glock has the 33 round 9mm mags for their Glock 18 "machine pistol". The pistol is only available to LE departments. They shoot at 1200 rounds per minute, which means it can empty the 33 round mag in under 2 seconds . God I'd love to have one of those. I almost bought 2 of the 33 round mags right before the Tucson shooting where a Glock with a 33 round mag were used. Now they are back ordered every where. Timing is everything I guess.

I have purchased aftermarket 30 round mags for my Glock 40s&w & Glock 45acp guns. They don't work very well. I think this is what you would encounter if you could find a 33 round mag for the Sigma. Aftermarket mags have their problems. Just saying...

I was thinking of casting a mold making an aluminum dy of my mag and using the press to form sheet metal into a ruff shape.stock mags have a weld in the middle of the back im gonna make one fold for the back and have the weld on the side/corner then tack it to my stock mag
