I have noticed as of the past year or so there have been so many new YouTube videos with tear jerking, feel good stories that are all AI narrated. I'm fairly certain 99.99% of them are pure BS! Their whole purpose is to generate revenue for the creator and YouTube gets a chunk of that so they love it as well. There are so many of them now that as soon as I hear the AI voice, I click off of it. I will give them credit as to how professional they make the video look, but IMHO they are nothing more than fairytales trying to warm hearts and earn money while doing so. If you like feel good BS stories they might be for you, but if you like truth and facts - don't waste your time.

Yes. AI generated content in general is very low quality. Much of it is misleading. There was a video about small towns in SC. My town was listed. The info was false and the video footage wasn’t even of the area.
Until some rules come up, though, you can expect more, not less, of this.

Monetizing YT videos began the decline, AI is putting the nail in the coffin. It's good for music and whatever channels you screen and follow. The vast majority of "recommendations" are clickbait and/or AI clickbait. The rise of these "storytelling" fictional channels masquerading as legit news and information is a debacle.

I have stopped looking at you tube ...

Just so much that isn't real ...

They scammed me a couple times ... so I'm done with them .

I think they have that already. Google. We live in a sick world
Indeed AI porn video creation does exist and there are numerous websites specifically devoted to it. Even high school kids know how it’s done - and are doing it. Give it a few years and it will be mainstream.

YouTube is a treasure trove for me and I use it to my advantage and enjoyment.

I especially like videos of up and coming new musical talent and the creative and funny AI videos.

There is a lot of clever folks on there.

The AI voice overs have been around for a while. A lot of the historical or WW1/2 content I see is from Europe and if the creator uses an AI voice over so I do not have to struggle with a strong accent that is fine.

My tastes in videos are apparently too boring for YouTube to show me the sort of videos you are describing. I see a lot of historical, gun and retirement videos but have never seen one like OP is describing. YouTube is pretty quick about adjusting the videos you see to ones similar to what you click on. Quit watching the tear jerking, feel good stories and they will disappear from your feed after a couple of weeks.

These are probably coming from the same people that would otherwise be trying to scam people out of their life savings.

No, in fact, I got caught by one a long time ago and quickly realized it was a fiction channel. I now actively hit "Don't Show The Channel" (or whatever it is) whenever I spot one but still I get regular suggestions for them.

No idea why. I listen to music, a few 2A channels, sewing and leather crafting. Still, they persist.
