extended mag base plate for shield

That's my thinking as well. Since I have 2 shields I just ordered 2. Its cheaper than buying two 8 rnd mags @ $50 +. I think Pearce made a big mistake!

Pearce does not make anything aftermarket for S&W products according to their website...Why is that? Would like to know the answer if anyone knows:confused:

Hey Thanks for the Nice Comments We are glad you like them. By the way if you order 3 or more mag plates you will get an additional 10% off and free shipping.

I noticed on your website that you have laser engraving on your base plates with stock images. Do you offer custom engraving of a customer supplied image or text?

I saw notice of a version without the extension on the backend of the plate. Any update on those? I do not see them on the web site.

Finally, the answer I have been waiting for. I can just barely get a full grip with the factory flush base plate, but it is not confidence-inspiring.

I too am interested in the version without the rear tail extension!

I emailed them and they said:

"Hello We can do custom plates. At this time im sorry all custom orders are on hold.
We just can not get them done in a fair time frame."

So hopefully soon.

I ordered a couple of these for my .40 shield and they are fantastic! Perfect fit and finish. I put one on my 6rd mag and one on my 7rd mag as well. In both cases they look and function perfectly! Feels very secure in my hand.

Great Product!

Not that I have any issues with these at all, and I like the option to get them engraved, is this basically the only product on the market right now?

I've been using my 8rnd mag exclusively, but I think this could bring my 7rnd into the rotation.

I'm torn though between the Dont Tread On Me, Molon Labe, or Old English "D" (my first and last name start with "D"). :D

Hey Guys the version without the extension will still be a while probably about a month.

As for the custom orders we have over 600 images it is hard to display them all, if you are looking for something we may have you can email me and i will let you know, if it is an image we have we can make it.
Thanks

Awesome, thanks for the update. I will be anxiously waiting for the new version! :D

Ordered one for my 6 rounder. It really doesn't feel comfortable so I'm looking forward to installing it.

I guess I must have fat fingers. My extension, though it fits the magazine perfectly and looks super, doesn't fit my hand when installed on the 7-round (9mm) mag. The rather sharp front edge of the extension comes mid-pinkie on me, and hurts! I put it on my 8 round mag and love the way it feels on that one, though the rear tail extension is unnecessary and actually overhangs a bit on that mag.

Did any polymer versions ever come out?

I remember when NDZ was the bees knees of paintball accessories, it's a shame paintball isn't what it was in the early 2000's.

I paid $10 ea for Pearce Grips base plates with pinky rest for my Shield at Amazon last year and . They are solid and extremely durable.
