Extended semi-auto magazines for compacts

Yes, I realize that rather than making an extended magazine for the M&P Shield, I could buy the larger double-stack framed pistol, but there has to be compromise somewhere along the way?
As large as the Shield and Glock M-43 are, extended magazines would be beneficial in not only providing more rounds before requiring a mag change, but would given more purchase for that dangling pinkie finger.
In the interim, I have purchased the Magguts.com products for the Shield, and a big "THANK YOU" to the Ampersand blog member who recommended them. They are GREAT!

I just stumbled across this. You'd have gotten a better response, had you posted it in the M&P section.

Right now, there are no companies making extended mags for the Shield. My recommendation would have been the MagGuts spring kit that you already found.
