Extractor rod collar question...

On a K frame 66 does the shoulder of the collar go toward the front or rear of the gun. Schematics aren't real clear in the image. Thanks.

Just took apart my 15. Looks like the collar goes forward. Still want to confirm, thanks.

If it doesn't affect function it doesn't make any difference. The only function of the ridge on the extractor rod collar is to give the spring something to bear against.

Collar goes inside of yoke with the spring fitting the collars min dia. so from your question i would think that; yes the shoulder (max dia) of collar goes toward front of gun(yoke), with larger spring behind it.
