Hi All, trying to restore a New Departure .32,1st Model. Want to remove the extractor stud. Looks like a 3/16 spanner wrench needed but no got spanner. Suggestions? Get the right tool or can I bubba this thing? Looks like it should unscrew counterclockwise. Not staked? Beaucoup torque? Looks easy so I know I'll scew it up! Any hints welcome! TIA< Ray

Rayj101, Dave Chicoine can help. Email him at: [email protected]. The spanner nut that you are referring, allows one to take the extractor star off the rod. If you are only wishing to remove the extractor star, rod and spring together from the cylinder as a unit, then remove the cylinder assembly from the revolver, grasp the end of the extractor rod with padded plyers and turn counter-clockwise to unscrew. Please check with Dave as he is the expert. Mike
