It is my sad duty to report of all the S&W target guns that lived here over the years, not one of them carried a McGivern Bead front sight----damn it anyhow!!

It was clearly the best of any and all the various gold bead front sights, as its hemispherical shape would reflect light from anywhere within 180 degrees behind the shooter------a stroke of genius!

The McGivern bead is an interesting sight indeed. Those competitors who placed higher than I did would tell me that the light reflecting off a different spot on the ball would misdirect my bullet and lose point! Except my shots were always neatly clustered together.

I have the McG bead on several revolvers and will be adding it to a few more.

Very Nice Bruce. Can't wait to see what you bring to Glendale - perhaps we will be table neighbors again. :)
