Pre-cocked Single Action (Definition: does not have second strike capability). The trigger does not fully cock the striker for a second strike, only finishes the cocking started by the slide.

I was thinking of the Shield 2.0. I don't know about the EZ. I looked up some EZ info, and the hammer is pre-cocked by the slide like a striker, and does not have second strike capability, so Single Action similar to the Striker fired, where the trigger just finishes the cocking that the slide starts.

With all the bias about single-action pistols "not being as safe", would you as a manufacturer want to advertise that your new concealed pistol is little different functionally from the century-old Browning 1911 design, i.e., hammer fired with a grip safety?
The Springfield XD when first imported was correctly called a single action, and for awhile put in Enhanced Service Pistol Division by IDPA, but later moved to SSP with the Glocks.
The EZ is made easy to use by what is, to an engineer, clearly single action.
The many variations of actions, including striker, or "safe" action, has pretty much made obsolete the old assumptions about single and double actions from 100 years ago.

There seems to be confusion in some folks minds about concealed hammers. For some reason they believe that single action guns must have exposed hammers. I don't know who started that rumor, but it is best described as unhelpful.

Why would you think the trigger "finishes the cocking that the slide starts?" On the EZ, the trigger does nothing but release the hammer via the sear. There is no additional "cocking" action going on.
It is classic Single Action.
