The quality of workmanship is not up to "Fuzzy's" standard. So, IMHO, it is not a Fuzzy Farrant. ................... Big Cholla

I agree with the comments made, they just don't ring with quality.

I am curious who thought enough of his grips to copy them.

I also wonder how much of a palm swell they have.

When I receive them, I will let you know if anything interesting pops out ;)

So...........

I finally examined the grips this evening.

Large palm swell and abbreviated thumb rest.

Perfect fit where the grips join.

Looks like Farant or someone doing a high quality copy.

When looked at from the rear, typical slanted bottom.

Feel pretty good in the hand, given my thumb, which is also abbreviated.

Pictures to follow........... ;)

Several members of the LAPD shooting team in the late '40s and '50s made custom stocks that were similar in design. I believe Walter Stark was the first one to produce them, then Blackford, Farrant, Hogue and Hurst (and maybe others) came along after.

I agree the stocks under discussion here don't look quite as finely finished as other Farrant sets I have seen, but I wouldn't rule him out as the maker.

Agree with all the above mentioned reasons why they're not Fuzzy's, and would add that my "bobbed" Python stocks don't have the plug for the frame cutout either.
These do look like a real close "homemade" copies however.
Should feel good!
