Long story so I'll try to be concise: I sold off one of my AR's, which leaves me somewhat optics rich; I'm keeping the Leupold Mk4 CQT, but thinking of off loading my EOTECH. It's one of the older ones w/ the On/Off/Brightness @ the rear instead of side & it takes 2 'N' batteries. Works great, w/ the slightest wear marks on the edge of the "armor", (not sure what to call it). So, what's it worth, more than likely it'll go to either my brother or nephew, but I don't want to totally give it away. Thanks for any input.

Being that old of a model, and N battery life, I would probably only go $100 for one.

N battery? Is that the 551 with the blister buttons? Pics please I may be interested.

You can get brand new 512 for under $400....very good red dot, easy to replace batteries....

I don't know what the market price would be, but I would not sell a working EOTech for much less than $250. Much less than $250 and you're approaching the price of dime store optics like Vortex Sparc $200 and Primary Arms MicroDot with a decent mount $150. But you're talking about family so that makes a difference. Sell it to your nephew for $100 and a few week s later you'll find out he sold it to his buddy for $150. :D

By the way, we don't conduct business in the discussion threads. So if you want to list it for sale put it in the classifieds. No offers here either.

Phil might be right, just hard to put a market value on it. At $200 or $250, to me you are too close to being near the price on a newer version with longer battery life. And, I am cheap... :D

Yeah... It fits that in between price point and older tech but military grade that's not so easy to value. Probably worth more to keep than sell. And that's what creates a closet full of gun parts. :D

If its worth $200-$250 to the general population you could sell it to your brother or nephew for $100-$150 help them out and know its going to good use. And if you miss it you can always go visit. Lol
