I guess those things are all the rage with our friends south of the border. Back in the day we called their less ridiculous predecessors "fence climbers."

I would rather walk barefoot on broken glass than wear those things.

Although I wonder what would happen if back in the 1880s someone wearing those things walked into a saloon. Do you think he would be dancing to the tune of a .45 Colt? Just something to think about.

Can you imagine combining those with one of those 8 foot long curly cue fingernail jobs?

I am one that lets people do as they wish and not judgemental.

But if someone showed up in my pasture wearing a pair of those, he would be sustaining a major whooping.

You guys are really hurting my feelings.
I have a gold pair with red, white, and blue tops.

If I'm lyin', I'm dyin'!!

My wife had a garage sale this weekend, and there was a guy here wearing a pair of those.
Not that exaggerated, but definitely longer than his feet.

These might be ideal for the "gangsta's in the 'hood".
Should keep them from completely running out of their pants.....:eek:

I can't figure if the "Leningrad Cowboys" are serious or sarcastic...........

I think they started out as a realy bad movie band and got a cult status.

Copied from the homepage:
"
World famous Finnish film director Aki Kaurismäki's cult movie "Leningrad Cowboys go America" ('89) describes the fortunes and misadventures of a struggling Siberian rock band on their way from the tundra to America, eventually ending up in Mexico and on the local top ten chart. This hilarious road movie has been released in several countries around the world and was ranked #88 in Empire magazine's "The 100 Best Films of World Cinema" in 2010."

Band - LENINGRAD COWBOYS * Buena Vodka Social Club

It is really quite simple.

Those are all Mexican elves out for one last turn around the town before they get locked up in the toy factory to make toys. After all, Christmas is just around the corner.

I saw some pretty pointy boots down in Mexico a couple of years ago, but nothing like that.

A buddy gave me a Leningrad Cowboys DVD a while back. I watched it once and archived it. But I like to think they created a space in the market for Gogol Bordello.
