Decided it was time to get a family foto of my small group of Fuzzy Farrant grips. All mounted on Mod. 10-5 revolvers. Three square butt and one round butt. The round butt set have dual palm swells, the square butts are right hand swell only.

Anyone heard from Fuzzy's grandson who posted a while back on getting something going again with the design?

My dad passed away last year. He was 94 and worked LAPD from 1947 till 1976. I inherited 2 model 10's that both had custom grips. One has a cut frame. One set of grips is identical to the dark brown square frame grips in your photos. They are checkered on one side only, palm swell on the checkered side with the same colored wood and same checkering pattern. The other set is checkered on both sides with palm swells on both sides. The wood is a little lighter colored but the checkering pattern is the same. I heard my dad talk about Fuzzy Farrant in the past so I know that he knew him. The only markings on the inside of the grips is a number in yellow crayon. Is there any way to tell for sure that the grips were made by Farrant?

whittier,
Crayon marks & numbers are one of the telltale signs of a pair of Fuzzys grips. The cut frame and grip combination is also a good sign that you have Farrant grips.

Very nice grip collection and the brochure is way cool - thanks for sharing. When I bought this gun, I thought that the grips might be Farrant's but I'm not sure at all...

... probably more "Farrant-esque". :)
