I installed a Fast Fire III on my M&P C.O.R.E. in 9mm I purchased last November because I was unable to bite the bullet to pay for a Delta Point or a RMR. According to several posts on Youtube, I used Plate #5. I'm quite pleased with the accuracy of the pistol thus far, but have a question about the location of the "dot." I find the dot is so high in the sight window, that I have to consciously depress the muzzle to find the dot and then align the dot on the target.

Is it possible to fit a shim under the rear portion of the sight, or is there a better method of lowering the dot in the sight window?

Thank you for your time.

There is a shim made for the fastfire ll and lll. That should solve your problem.UM TACTICAL Delrin Shim 1.5 degree. you can find it on Amazon.

The sight has adjustment screws for windage and elevation, but the dot stays high in the window. Thank you for the reference regarding UM TACTICAL Delrin Shim 1.5 degrees. I appreciate your time guys.
