Hi everyone!

Recently got this -

38 S & W Ct'g

Is this the "4th Model"?

Can you kindly let me know roughly what year it was made?

Old Nickel is a little 'frosty' but looks much better in person than in my casual night time Lamp shadow images.

I removed the Side Plate, and stocks, cleaned well with Solvents and then Brake Cleaner, let dry and put in fresh Lube, and Mechanically it seems to be very nice indeed, tight, perfect lock up, etc.

Will give it a try at the Range sometime soon!

Thank you!

Hit that nickel finish with some FLITZ metal polish and you will be surprised how good that frosted revolver will look.

A little light polishing with Mother's Mag Polish would bring back the original shine on that one.

I'd like to find a blued one someday.

Like these? If you search long enough, you will find one at a price you can live with. Only barrel length I have not tracked down in blue is the 2", plus the nickel snub-nose I have is a cut barrel.

I sure like my little Top Break and it was a joy to shoot too.

The only other 'New Departure' I have is a Factory Snubby - .38 S & W.
