Fastfield Model 916

Hi, my name is David (50 year old). I live in Georgia. When was the Fastfield Model 916 manufactured? My Father died in April 2014. His widower of 6 years gave us this rifle yesterday and said it was my Grandfather's. My Grandfather died in the 50's or 60's. I think it is the wrong rifle.
