I have grips from handgungrips.com on two of my guns. they look nice and function well.

I have them on a model 60 and a model 686.

I will simply add that truivory grips are handcarved from realistic material-some of the others are cast.

I have a pair from Boone trading for a N frame SB. Fit was not the best, medallions were set in too deep.

I would be careful with the Tru Ivory grips. The material is not more than an epoxy cast into blocks and then carved into grips. I purchased a set for my 1911 the grips were full of holes bubbles that occurred during the casting process. Not worth the money.

You might want to check with some grip makers to see if they will make you a set from Corian or cow bone.

are you saying that TruIvory will not replace a set of their grips that are full of "holes and bubbles?" seems like they're marketing a premium product, so should be more than eager to correct a wrong...

this is bothering me since i am thinking about ordering a set.

+1...I was gonna try a set myself soon but....I was to understand these grips are so fantastic that it "takes an expert to tell they are not real ivory." Anyone else have trouble with them???

I have a set of "Ultra Ivory" from Art Jewel, that seems pretty nice. Haven't got them on a revolver yet - they are for a Ruger.

Of all the faux ivory I have seen, none are really very good. Best choice is to:

1) Save the money for the real deal, or

2) Go with some camel bone or antler without bark.
