Favorite 124gr 9mm and 230gr 45 acp Loads

I cast my own bullets ... so I will give you my pet cast bullet loads :

9mm Luger - 124 gr. NOE 357-124 TC GC - ( gas check applied)
5.2 grs. Unique @ 1166 fps.
4.2 grs. Bullseye @ 1067 fps

45 ACP - 230 gr RN - RCBS 45-230-RN - plain base
5.7 grs. Unique @ 815 fps .
4.5 grs. Bullseye @ 753 fps.

The loads with Unique are my "field" loadings and the loads with Bullseye are my "Target" loads ... all are accurate and clean burning .

for 9mm - 124 hdy xtp, AA-7 and fed mag sp primer for vermin load
124 gn fmj, bout 4.3 gns hp-38 for target or subsonic practice

for 45 acp - 5.5 gns unique 230 lrnfp for target
6.0 gns unique 230 fmj for target

230 gn xtp over AA-7 or vv-n350 for vermin standard fed lp
primer
 
45ACP, any brand of large primer brass case. 230 gr RN, SWC, or RNFP. Cast, Jacketed, Coated or Plated bullet. Prefer WLR primer but CCI can sub just fine. 5.5 grains WW231 (1250 per pound of powder!)

I bought a couple of jugs of surplus AA2 a while back when it was $8 a lb. I shoot 4 gr of it in 9mm and cast 125-135 gr bullets.

200 gr [452460 Lyman mold number] 45's get Unique or Bullseye.
