Sir, it's OK--we're just repeating stuff we've read on the Internet. [grin]

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

Not only are we intemperate, we're also immoderate. If you review the thread closely, you'll discover the presence of those ill chosen moderators. We're reviewing it closely, attempting to pick up some hot tips on things we may have missed.

Sounds like you need to pour yourself a drink and relax. Might I suggest a Maker's Mark Manhattan? I'm confident it will be good for what ails you, which is apparently a bad case of uptight! Relax! We're all adults here, not necessarily mature, but adults.:D

Here, let me help-
The Maker's Mark Manhattan
1 1/2 oz. of Maker's Mark
1/2 oz. Sweet Vermouth
1/2 oz. Maraschino Cherry Juice
1 Maker's Mark Bourbon Cherry
Mix first three ingredients in a shaker with ice until chilled. Strain into a chilled, Maker's Mark Manhattan glass and serve straight up.

Yuuummmmm!! The glass on top is ice cream with Maker's Mark cherries!!!

OK, I didn't know Makers Mark made cherries. Where (other than the distillery) can they be had? Serious question! Liquor store? Can they be mail ordered? Gotta steal that photo, too.

Maybe I should just forward it to my offspring, the one's who insist I'm hard to buy Christmas presents. Whats so hard? Guns, ammo, booze, sounds so easy. But they don't even take blunt hints.

Bourbon, internet connection, C&R license on file........Trouble. But the good kind of trouble. Some people toss ammo buying into that mix too.

Got a little story to tell about drinking bourbon.
...........

And thats why, friends, Wes isn't allowed to sit with Jim (Beam) at the computer ever again. :)

I didn't read this whole thread but for me it doesn't get any better than sippin' chilled Wild Turkey 101. Yeeee-hahhh !!!

Yup my sister grabbed me some of those cherries from the distillery. But I don't make manhattan's or the like with em. I put them on top of vanilla ice cream.

I know! Scrap the cherries, vermouth, ice and all that extraneous stuff.

The purer the better. ;)
