I just learned that S&W is going to reintroduce the model 18, model 17, and model 14 revolvers. New will be a J frame .327 federal magnum revolver.
Also look for a full size 1911 in 9 mm.

If S&W want's to make a KILLING on a 1911 platform they need build a EMP like Spingfield Armory. If I am packing a .45 it's my SA 5". The EMP is the only chopped 1911 style pistol I would buy in 9mm or any other caliber. Seen and suffered myself from having Gobs of high priced (Kimbers/ SA's) chopped 1911's malfunction.

I'd have to agree. That is one fine little conceal carry, and in 9mm.

I don't suppose it will happen because its market would be too small, but the only supposed "classic" I'd pony up for would be a Model 16. I'd love to load for that gun.

As much as I hate the lock, I'm happy to see that new Model 18's will be on the market. Its too good a gun to lose.

I hope the new ones will help the prices stay low (sort of) when they hit the used market....this is one of the few guns in the lineup that I'd really like to try out.

Can't wait to see a range report!

If it's wearing a lock, it's still lost to me.

Been reading the stats on the 327 magnum and very impressed. If S $ W comes out with a j frame in this cal. I will get one. Probably have take out a home loan to buy ammo though

That is what the model 632 is --- a j-frame in .327 Federal Magnum with three inch barrel.

A Model 19 that could handle a regular diet of 125 Gr. ammo. Not sure if a stainless version would help with the hotter ammo.
