should have posted this earlier, they had free hazmat for a couple of days. Compared to what i used to pay, they are expensive but Fed small pistol primers were really tough to find (for me) for several years.

Good to see prices dropping some. In Nov / early Dec prices you could find them for around $80 but then prices spiked back to $100. $75 isn't terrible compared to what they've been the last 4 years.

I know they aren't Federal but I just bought the Argentine SPPs from Norma for 49.95 delivered. No Hazmat. They work. I really do feel US made primers are going to be priced at 55-65 dollars when all is said and done with a few sale prices lower. More are available but prices are resisting a lowering trend...at least now. I did buy 19000 Win #41 primers half of them at 57.50 the other half at 64.00..Keep an eye on Cabela's Scheels and Powder Valley for Sales

Edited to add LPPs and LRPs are still tough to find

Doesn't seem like the announced price increase is sticking. Or it may be at the wholesale level but not passing through to the retail level.

I see posts still about "stocking up to sell in the next shortage" but at some point that will end. I still have several thousand. I'm going to wait a bit. I can buy my preferred WSP primers locally from Academy without shipping or hazmat for $79.99 and they've been staying in stock.

There's an off-chance that demand will collapse when the hoarders have their fill. Not sure I can wait that long.

been watching this pretty steadily the average buyers are NOT hoarders. I bought all the Small rifle primers because I can use them in handguns too and I have at least 10,000 223 to load. A lot of case prep. My Giraud trimmer is gonna need a new blade

For those that need, want or not wanting to wait till prices come back down to pre shortage levels.

Natchez

Thanks! I snagged 5000. Many tuned double-action revolvers need Federals. I have a slicked up 586 that will fire other primers like CCI on single-action, but not double-action. It's that close; it's on the "hairy-edge."

Federal 100's have been hard to find. When found, the prices were astronomical. Not that these are cheap, but I figure you snooze-you lose. The price is about double what I think it should be, but I'd rather have them on my shelf than wait for a (possibly never) lower price. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush as the old saying goes. Now that they're on the way, I will strive to forget the purchase price!

you're welcome

Being I still have quite a few older primers/powders etc...I price average all my stuff...Of course the average will continue to climb...but it sounds better. LOL

primers thru Norma

Where do I go to find the Norma sales page? Thanks

IMHO, those waiting for Primers to come down to the $30 / 1,000 price will never have primers! Could I be wrong, I suppose but highly doubt that. Even if Primers do manage to drop a slight amount more, Hazmat and shipping will surely make up the difference once again. Their goal (as I see it) is to keep components out of reach for as many as possible. The more expensive they are, the more control and restriction there is.
