Federal Guard Dog 9mm

Does anyone here use the Federal Guard Dog EFMJ ammo? Your thoughts/ experience with it? With it resembling ball ammo externally, one would think that it would feed more reliably in firearms that are ammo sensitive or that do not generally perform well with JHP ammo.

I have used it on a limited basis and it feeds well. The bad news is that it seem to have been discontinued.
