Federal Walmart ammo

I just came from my local Walmart with some Walmart only ammo from Federal. #WMAE 45LC, 45 Colt 225 gr. JSP in 50 rd box @29.97, WMAE357A, 357 Mag 158gr. JSP in 50 rd box @ 21.97 and #WMAE44A, 44 Magnum, 240 JHP, 50 rd. box @34.97. Fifty round boxes of performance ammo is not that common. I reload everything, but 45 Colt JSP's in a 50 count box, I figured I could put some on the shelf. Not bad prices if one does not reload. Bob!

Not a bad price even if you do reload. At that price it's not a bad source for brass. Not great but not bad either and you get to shoot the 50 rounds first! LOL

I've never seen any JHP pistol ammo at either of the two Walmarts that are near to me. Now that I think on it I don't remember seeing any JSP's either.

There was a time when it was hard to get ammo from Walmart, since a lot were hoarding it. But now it has become available at a lot of the gun shops and the price has come down to reflect that.....

A lot of us are on the same wavelength. For a long time, all you saw on store shelves was 125 gr .357. I prefer the 158 gr. bullet for both .38 Special and .357 Magnum, so like you, I bought some of the Federal ammo when I saw it on my last visit to WM.

after reading this i made a run and found 1 box of the .357 158g JSP for the $21.97. will try it out soon and hope they keep em coming, not a bad price around these parts at all.

Our walmart runs hot and cold. One day and all the shelves are full, come in another day and looks like they have nothing. With the election coming up I would look to trying to sock away ammo,powder and primers as the craziness that took place the last time has already started and it's not going to get any better. I usually buy the white box in 40 S&W and 45acp. Shelves were looking kinda bare after I got my 4 boxes. Sad but true. Frank

My local Walmart usually gets cleaned out by a local pawn shop that doubles the price. They (the pawn shop) had a sign up that they were having a 25% off ammo sale. That meant a box of 9mm that was $10 at Walmart was "only" $15.

I check my local WM weekly and have never found any 45 Colt ammo there. Maybe they will learn from yours?

Our local wally world usually has winchester white box 38spl, 40S&W, 9mm and 45acp. Remington most all the pistol calibers, federal 9mm,38 spl,40S&W and 45acp. And some tula in various calibers. And that's about it. I go to academy for my 30-30 made by Monarch. Last time I priced 170 grain winchester 30-30 was 18.00 a box. Some calibers that I do not reload for 44 spl I normally buy. I'd say that academy has the best selection and price. But as always you have to shop around. And burn more gas. Shooters in Lafayette has a excellent selection but you'd better be prepared to take a second mortgage out to pay for it. Still waiting for the M855 420 round ammo cans to show up at wally world. Ill have to check that out! Mine only has the 130gr stuff in 38, and 357 last time I was there. Just WWB, or rem. Im planing on reloading, but till I get all set up, I need some amno to burn!!

Seems like there is a pattern of one box of this and one box of that being Locked Up in the ammo case. Walmart must screen their sporting goods associates and hire only liberals. I visit two local Walmarts regularly and Never have an employee ask me if I need help when standing at the ammo case.
