I recently sold my Magnums, 27-2, 29-2, 28-2 due to some medical issues. I won't be shooting full load magnums in the future. I can shoot 38 and 45 acp.
So.......here's the deal. Cleaning out and reorganizing the ammo locker and in the back are 3 boxes of ammo I no longer have gun(s) for: a 50 round box of Winchester 44 S&W Special (Cowboy Action); 240 gr. Lead Flat Nose, 750 fps
Next up is a 25 round box of PMC Bronze 44 Rem Magnum; 180 gr JHP. The hype on these used to be less recoil than the 240 gr, more velocity, deeper penetration. 1750 fps.
Last up is a 20 round box of PMC Starfire 44 Rem Magnum, SFHP, 240 gr. advertised at 1340 fps.
A brief check on line with the usual ammo suppliers shows no stock on all above, and some even say discontinued. The prices shown are basically very high and don't account for shipping, taxes, etc. even if you can find it.
I would like to trade the lot above (3 boxes - 95 rounds total) even up for 2 boxes of 38 Special (130 or 158 gr); or 2 boxes of 45 ACP, 230 gr ball FMJ. Your ammo needs to be factory, brass cased, and no reloads please. I don't shoot other peoples reloads, no offense intended. If someone who wants 44 ammo is local to Richmond Virginia (maybe 75 mile radius) - I would meet somewhere and trade without any shipping costs to either of us.
If no one local responds then I'll sell the lot for $125 shipped via Fed-Express Ground right to your door. No sale to California or anywhere else that doesn't allow ammo sales to its residents. The last time I shipped ammo via Fed-Ex it was about $20.00 for 2 boxes of obsolete 38 ammo so $25.00 is about right. The only thing with Fed-Ex and ammo is that an adult signature is required so you'll have to be there when it comes or I don't know what they do with it.
Of course it is all factory new brass case, boxer primed, in original containers and will be secure in a stiff cardboard box with proper Haz Mat and ORM-D stickers.
I have no idea of what was paid for my ammo.......all of it was 2014/2015 gifts from my kids on various holidays (hey...better than a tie you never wear) but looking at todays high prices on line I'm guessing about $175 bucks worth with shipping and taxes and all..........IF you could even find it!
So any of you that NEED 44 Mag or Special jump right in. Per Forum rules: 1st "I'll take it" followed by a PM gets the lot
Thanks for looking and if this post should be in Ammo instead of Accessories for Sale...then my apologies.
