Having issue with my m&p 9 feeding only a few months old 1000 rounds though it I did polish the barrel since the coating was coming off form regular shooting and it looked like **** but anyway I'm noticing a lip on the lower half of the barrel right after the feed ramp and the ammo is catching when it is feeding in is the lip from the ammo feeding in and wearing it out?

It's normal for the outside of a coated barrel to scratch, all guns do this. Even polished stainless barrels will scratch with use. If this lip has recently appeared on the feed ramp it can only have come from the ammo you are using. What ammo are you using? Reloads by any chance?

No I know it's normal but I cleaned it up to make it look better and not so worn out but either cci blazer or federal. Is this any type of coating inside the chamber that may be wearing out and causing the catch or is it the actual metal of the barrel itself?

image.jpg here it's catching right above the ramp where the color gets darker

It's still too blurry are you using Blazer aluminum cased ammo? Could be deposits if aluminum.

I know I can't get it any better but yes blazer and fed aluminum cases

Shooting ammo at the range that is not your EDC ammo or something close to it is a pointless exercise. Blazer is cheap for a reason. It's most probably an aluminum build up that isn't getting cleaned out with CLP.

Ok so what would you recommend to clean it out then?

Ok I used hoppes number 9 after I shoot it every time but I guess I'll have to try a lead remover but thanks anyway any help us much appreciated
