Feeling safe with my J frame

Also, don't do anything while carrying a gun that you wouldn't do if you wern't!

I was just recently taking a personality test for a LE position. One question was, "carrying a gun makes me feel safe." I marked "no" as my answer. Why?

Because carrying a gun doesn't make me feel safe. Although a do feel unsafe sometimes when I can't carry. But I digress... Carrying a gun gives me options. Its not a magic wand that wards off BG's. Nor does it give me special powers. It simply gives me one more option that I wouldn't have otherwise; and even that option is useless unless I train in its use.

Self defense is about much more than having a gun. Proper mindset is very important, as is good training.

My CCW is issued by the powers that be here in AK. This is only a formality, as my CCW was written well over 200 years ago..........S-Prefix

Drop a speed loader in your other pocket and a nice folding knife in the back pocket. You will feel even more protected. That's my daily wear

It can come down to this:

There are victims and victors. It is better to be the victor.

There are leavers and those that are left. It is better to be the one leaving than the one that is left on the ground.

There are jackals that prey on sheep. When it comes to jaclals it is better to be a lion dressed like a sheep than a sheep.
