I took the Model 41 out to shoot and was surprised (and at first, disappointed) to find that standard velocity ammo wouldn't reliably cycle the gun. Winchester match loads jammed every other round. One took a hit from the firing pin and didn't detonate. Tried Federal Lightning, and that too sucked. On a whim, I loaded up some CCI Velocitor I had on hand, and blew through 10 rds without a hiccup. Encouraged, I shot it for group and clustered ragged little strings in the black. Stingers behaved the same -- reliable cycling, and accurate as can be.
The point, I suppose, is what I used to know about .22 autos but had forgotten: they're finicky and like what they like, not only in terms of velocity, but also of manufacturer. So... it's CCI for me.
Did I mention accuracy? I could cover the group with a dime! Love this gun!
