I've never owned a J-frame. My Colt Cobra always sufficed as a carry gun for when you cannot carry a gun.
The pre lock 640 in 357 has always appealed to me. My shooting partner found one a few years ago. Very accurate little revolver. Comfortable to shoot with 357's - unlike the unobtanium J-frame 357's I've shot.
Saturday I went to a little gun shop thats off the beaten path. There it was, 640-1 in 357. Roll marks and forged case hardened trigger too!
It had a pair of Uncle Mikes 3 finger rubber grips on it. Makes shooting this little gem very easy.
I like this one so much I'm going to put it on my off duty ticket at tomorrows annual qualification. Great little BUG! Regards 18DAI.
