Like some other fans of old cop guns, I like to collect the corresponding agency badges. A badge for my 1940 Wichita 357 was at the top of my list. Several forum members from that area undertood searches for me to no avail.
And, then, in 2021, the PD issued a 150th (1871-2021) anniversary commemorative badge, patterened after the original. Wichita officers could purchase the badge and wear it during 2021. Donors could also purchase a badge with the 0000 badge number. Another forum member offered me his donor badge.
Just shows the 'brotherhood' of this forum. Thanks all.
Have a few others needing badges if anyone runs across possibilities:
Denver PD for a commercial 1917,
Colorado State Patrol for 38/44, or
Kilgore, TX PD for a 3rd model 44
