Finally after almost 2 years of searching I found a 4526 to purchase. With only 1365 units produced the 4526 features the frame lever decocker. This gun was purchased from its original owner and used as his duty weapon. She will fit nicely in my 45 Family Portrait.

Hope everyone has a happy & safe Labor Day!

Cheers!!!

Nice, very nice. You have an amazing group there. Are you able
to "display" them, for your, (and others), enjoyment, or do they
live in captivity? I suspect these are only part of your collection,
and you would need a lot of room to spread out.

Unfortunately they are in captivity :(. There isn't enough room in the "man cave" to display them. But They do make trips to the range and lay them ALL out on the "man cave" floor to drull over!! Thanks for the compliment!!

Cheers!!!

Great gun and a great collection.

I just wish the S&W had thought to make a 3933.

Two years? Took me 5 to find a Mdl 13 3". I've been looking for a 3953 for about 7.

Of course my grailiest of grail 3rd Gen is the NYPD spec 3914DAO. I'll have to move out of this benighted state to even have a hope of finding one.

Still, it's a great feeling when you find capture that elusive 3rd Gen.

I have been looking for a 4526 but the 2 or 3 I have seen for sale have been more than I want to pay.

That is very nice -- nice pistol, and nice collection!

The decocker on the 4526 is where decockers were meant to be; I had no idea S&W made a model set up that way. I like the lines of a 3d Gen Slide without the safety/docker paddles on the slide. (I prefer the appearance of my 3953 over my 3913 -- although both shoot very well).

S&W Rover

There are several 3rd gen models with the frame lever decocker, 4026, 4526, 4576, 1026, 1076, 5926 & 6926. These are my frame lever decockers

Cheers!!!

Nice collection, now that you found that you must look for something else. If not that can get boring when you have no wants.

THE ROLLING STONES

Ty for the compliment and yes I'm always looking for others I do not have yet...the elusive 1046 (151 units), 6454 (RSR 10 units), 6451 (RSR 230 units), 6450 (92 units), and for some unknown reason I'm having difficulty finding a 4044 (go figure). I am getting a little frustrated due to I cannot seem to find the ones I don't have.

Cheers!!!
