I was a vendor at a local gun show this weekend and sold some firearms and bought some, although none of my leather work sold. I found a post WWIII (I think) Terrier in good shape along with some early K frame grips in very good shape sans medallions. I want a 32 S&W Long, but nothing wrong with the 5 shot 38 S&W either.

Nice Terrier!
It appears to be a 5-screw post-war Improved I-frame 1st version. I have two that bracket your SN. My guess for a shipping date would be late 1952 or possibly into 1953. A factory letter will be the only way to get a concrete answer about the shipping date.
I think you will find it to be a pleasant revolver to shoot. The .38 S&W is much easier on the wrist than is a .38 Special (IMHO, anyway).
