Finally found a 617 no dash

Finally found a clean 617 no dash at a local gun show. So I decided to get a weaver mount and Burris speed dot. Overall the gun is somewhat heavy being a 6" but I don't mind. Can anyone tell me why some of these have a target hammer and trigger? I realized mine does, but my buddies no dash didn't.

I don't know why it has the target hammer and trigger unless it was ordered that way or vice versa that it normally came with them and someone special ordered it without those features. I say this because I have the 4 inch and 6 inch 617 no dash but they are locked in my safe and I don't remember which it has.

most, if not all, 4" 617s came with standard hammer and trigger.....the same goes for 8 3/8" guns....the 6" came either way

My 6" came with the target parts but I had to add them to my 4".
