Finally Found A Flashlight That Meets All My Criteria

The purpose of the E12 is to have a light that I can carry conveniently on a daily basis without taking up a lot of space. It's small enough to carry and powerful enough to adequately meet my needs if I have to stay late or go in early. it's my light for when I don't really think I'll need a flashlight light and it's perfect for that use.

That said it I know I'm going to be out after dark or I know I'm going to be working a night shift this

Nightstick® Intrinsically Safe Dual-Light - LED - 3AA: IndustrialSafetyGear.com

Is the light I carry (except mine's black).

It runs off of rechargeable AAs it's certainly bright enough and because I work in a Propane storage facility it's nice to know it's safe to use around combustible gasses.

the only draw back to this light is the size which is irrelevant at work because it's going to hang off my duty belt anyway

For me, Fenix has been very iffy..never had one of their big lights but I bought their little AAA E01's for my key chain and some as gifts...my wife's and my brother's both stopped working within a year. My ITP A3 has been going strong for over 5 years...:)

Be carrying a fenix LD10 for over 3years so. Change the batteries every few weeks. Always agravates cops when my little bitty pocket light out shines the lights off their belts (except the few who care surefires, or streamlights)

With fresh batteries my Fenix hasn't failed me. My entire family carries them. 7 lights haven't failed yet. My gets used hard, knocked around dropped. Used for extended times. Great light

Its amazing how many people still don't know about the top LED lamps. Maglites don't have them and the top Fenix and Surefire lights are really pricey. I buy Ultra-fire lights with XM-L lamps for 12 bucks that are as bright as the most expensive flashlights out there. They use 1860 rechargeable batteries that will hold a charge for years and can be recharged hundreds of times. You can buy two batteries and a charger for under 15 bucks and I have never had one of the batteries or the flashlights fail and I have been using them for 7 or 8 years. I have them in the cars, at home, on our bikes and if one was to get lost I'm not out much money. I have bought most of them from Deals Extreme which has a slow delivery time but you can get them off Ebay for a little more money. If you want a really high quality tactical light you can buy a Solarforce light from Ebay which the flashlight guys say are just as good as any Surefire or Fenix for about 30 dollars.
