finally found a use for my nc star 4x32 scope and sightmark red dot

Using them as a spotting scope for my orion xt8 dobson. Finally I found something that cheap red dot will hold zero on =)

This frame was taken off of a video I took off of my phone looking through the dobson. Looks way better through the eyepiece in person.

Anyway I'm glad no one would buy them when they were posted on craigslist.

yes you need a good sighting system on a telescope, makes it easier to find celestial objects. I like the cheap red dots for that.
