Finally got it home... Model 41 .22 short

Howdy,

I picked up my Model 41 this morning for the LGS.

Its a .22 short built around 1961 (serial 41377). I paid $495 which is a pretty good deal.

Now I just need a letter...

Hello Mike, I think you got a very good deal. I'd bet recoil with that gun is going to feel about like an air pistol. .22 Short, Neat!

I had one and it was marked "41-1". Your receiver says only "41". It may be a 22lr frame with a 22 Short top end. Still, $495.00 is a good deal....

Hey Dave,

It could be. A letter will tell me.

On page 280 of the SCSW it states "The -1 model indicator is not always found with the 41 stamping" so I am still hopeful

It is great to shoot. Only gave it a short workout yesterday when I got it home but seriously...I could point this thing at the sky and it would still hit the 10 ring everytime! Its the most accurate thing I have ever held in my hand
