I agree, S&W stepped to the plate for you, now it's your turn.
Come on, do the right thing.
Most likely they will tell you to just keep them, but at least you manned up.

I'm not sure how they "stepped up to the plate" for me. They messed up my order, then they messed up my order again trying to fix their first mistake. They weren't doing me a favor by agreeing to send me the rest of what they owed me.

If everybody agrees that they would just tell me to keep them, then it seems pretty useless to waste any more of my time contacting them about it. If that makes me a bad person or dishonest, or, as has been suggested, leads to the demise of western civilization, so be it.

So you called them to tell them that they had made a mistake by not shipping your item properly. Now that they made another shipping mistake, your not going to call them. The only difference is that this time the mistake is in your favor.

If you choose to just keep something that's not yours to keep, that does make you a low life in my book.

When you thought you were shorted you raised hell, when the people trying to help you make a mistake in your favor, you just blow it off.

Some people just have no integrity anymore.

Greetings, Customers,

We are sorry to announce that our program which shipped three additional magazines to customers purchasing specific handguns has been discontinued. Due to a software issue which has been since resolved, the third party fulfillment contractor shipped more than the promised number of magazines on multiple occasions. The excess magazines were kept by customers, and the resultant budget overrun in that promotion rendered us unable to provide additional promised magazines to subsequent purchasers of the listed firearms. Our relationship with this contractor has been severed, and they have ceased operations with no assets available to pay damages to us. In order to recover financially from this debacle, we will in the future offer only one magazine with each firearm purchased, and our next year's pricing has been increased by 3% across the board. We appreciate your continued patronage, and think of this message as you look at your two "free" magazines.

i wish after 14 weeks i could get my three free magazines. Milanos said they received them 5-15-15. after repeated calls, i still don't have them. they keep saying, 'they have the order'. the pistols are awesome. the service is lackluster. so 9 weeks aint so bad.

Geez a couple of metal box's with springs! The restocking expense in Mass. Would be the value of at least of one of those magazines. Let it go!

You just don't get it, too bad.

I guess you can not keep score?

1) S&W manages to screw customer.
2) customer actually complains about being screwed.
3) customer service decides to a solid and hooks up a screwed customer.

1) you want said screwed customer to narc on the guy that did a solid to keep said screwed customer a loyal S&W customer.
2) so in fact the score is that you want this screwed customer to snitch out an employee to his boss to try to get him into trouble.
That is the score.

I guess you would turn down a gift certificate from a store or restaurant that some how has provided you lousy service?

S&W made up for lousy service. Get it?

I bought an M&P in 45acp in late May. I put in for my 3 free mags as soon as I got home from the gun store. Finally, 2 days ago, FedEx showed up with a box. I tore it open excitedly, but there, inside the box was only a single magazine.

I went to S&W's website and chatted with their online support guy. He found my order, confirmed the mistake, and told me my other 2 mags would be sent out this week.

Oh well. :)

Is there some "bonus" being offered by S&W? I'm getting ready to purchase a M&P 9c and a couple extra $30 magazines would sure be appreciated!:D

No, They made a mistake and he should man up and try to make it right.
This is the entitlement mind set, sad but this is the way it seems to be going now a days.

Like I said the morels in this country are fading fast.

No, they made a mistake, then they made another mistake trying to fix their first mistake.

It would be like if you ordered a pizza and it was taking forever, so you called and they told you your pizza was on the way...but when the pizza arrived, it was only 1/3 of a pizza, so you called them again and told them you only got 1/3 of a pizza, they apologized and sent the other 2/3 of your pizza, but then, after you got it and sat down to eat there was a knock on the door and it was another delivery driver who ALSO had 2/3 of a pizza. At that point you thank the driver, sit down, and eat your pizza. It's not incumbent on you to call a 3rd time to tell them about their most recent mixup.

If you are going to lament over anything, let it be about a pizza company who can't successfully deliver a pizza after 3 tries and not about the annoyed customer who ended up with a few extra slices of pizza.

surfgun, how did S&W screw this customer ? The program is run by a third party that S&W 'oversees', NOT S&W themselves. They were helping to right a wrong.
hAkron, you are still wrong & apparently also a waste of oxygen. Period.

However you want to justify it in your mind, it's still wrong.
A phone call to let them know what happened is the right thing to do.
What really amazes me is your sense of entitlement.

You answer the door When the third delivery driver knocks with the 2/3 pizza

"Oh hey...the other guy brought it 10 minutes ago, so we're ok"

"Oh well, I'm here , so I want you to have this one also..."

"Well thank you, if you're sure it's ok I'll take it...thank you very much"

I have had this eact same argument with other people in other forums and it goes pretty much as it is going here.

But here is my take on this.

DO THE RIGHT THING ALWAYS AND THE WORLD BECOMES A BETTER PLACE.

Call Smith and Wesson and tell them they made a mistake and somehow double shipped your magazines, and you would like to send them back to them.

There is no way on this earth that you can in anyway correctly justify keeping them without attempting to fix the mistake. And the thought that somehow in your head its cool to keep them is part of a much larger problem within this country.

But i guess the problem is really that not everyone knows what the right thing to do is anymore. I feel lucky to know myself, and i wish others did too.

Is there any of that pizza left? :D

If not, we're done here. ;)

One of the below is far more probable than the other.
See if you can figure out which one-
1> Arguing someone on the net into adopting your beliefs.
2> Winning The Lotto with the numbers in a fortune cookie that came with last night's takeout.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
