Quick intro, my name is Jerrod and this is my first AR15(sport model). Love the site, I've learned a lot already and have even stolen a few ideas for some upgrades from some folks. :)

I've had it about a month and finally got it to the range yesterday. The rifle range was packed so me and my sister went and did some pistol shooting for a little bit, we both had new .38's we wanted to shoot. It seemed like everybody wanted to shoot 50yds including me, so the only thing that opened up was a couple of 100yd spots. It was getting late so I sat down at one of those and my plan was to run one 30rd clip through it and go. I ended up running off 50rds (shooting this thing is fun) and let my sister shoot the last 10. I had more ammo but we had been there over 4 hours and the wife was nagging me to get home. I was shooting American Eagle 50gr hollow points and Monarch 55gr sof tips, the range I was at doesn't allow fmj. The gun went bang every time without a hiccup and at 100yds the accuracy with the stock sights is amazing. I shoot this thing better at 100yds than I do some of my pistols at 7yds.:o

Just wanted to share my experience with everyone and say the Sport AR is a great gun and anyone looking for an entry level AR shouldn't hesitate to pick one up. Below is a pick of my target.

Congrats! Not a bad first trip to the range. Not bad for a 50 round group with open sights on the maiden voyage. I'd blame the flyers on your sister.:D
