Finally, I Met the Big Gorilla!

Well, I just got back yesterday from 5 glorious days at the S&WCA Symposium. I met a huge number of folks I previously knew only by screen name and enjoyed getting to know them all “for real”. One of the highlights of the week was getting to meet and chat with the Big Gorilla himself! I found Lee to be a great guy and had the pleasure, after my load out and facing the 3 1/2 hr trip home, of just sitting with him on a bench for a few minutes and speaking “of sticks and strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff.”

Thanks again Lee for all you’re doing here. As Spock would say, “Live long and prosper.”

Went to cook out again after the dinner lol Came back with a spicy chicken and two milk shakes. We can't get peanut butter milk shakes up north. A trip to waffle house is next. Wonder if they have them in Missouri? Hope I see you there my friend.

Glad you went to the symposium, I went to the Columbus Ohio one yrs ago. I thought it was great. I met Lee there, he had a table across the isle from my table. He came over and introduced himself and thanked me for the money sent to the forum from the NE Ohio Bunch twice a year.

Being he owned the forum somehow I thought he would be above everyone. What a down to earth person, he made me feel like we knew each other for years or like old friends meeting again years later.

Went to Tulsa once and met him at his tables with a S&W Forum banner. A lot of SWCA members attend Tulsa gun show. Glad you had fun, Larry

Speaking of making it to places Jebus35745, I’m still thinking about your Ohio Gatherings. Do you guys admit amphibians? When and where is the next one planned for?

Rich, if I could send you some of those peanut butter shakes I'd do it in a heart beat! And we'll catch a Waffle House in Mo. Shoot, there might even be a wedding happening in one! lol

Date set early, I don’t run them anymore. I did for about 12 years. It’s an effort of a few people. Saturday October 4 is the next Bunch. I will start another thread in the lounge around August 1st. All the info will be in the first post. Anyone that loves S&W is welcome, bring a friend to make the trip easier. We love amphibians.

Pete leaves South Carolina and stops in West Virginia to pick up his son Eric, they come up Friday afternoon. They eat at Nino’s Italian restaurant for dinner (fantastic food) when here and have been doing it at least 2 years or more. Larry.
