Finally pulled the trigger

Long time fan of the .45 Colt but haven't had that caliber for years. In 1989 I handled a new 25 Model of 1989 but couldn't afford one, in 1993 I handled a 625 Classic and although I had an FFL by then and could afford one I neglected to buy one. So finally at 71 years old I ran into a NIB 25-7 "1989" that has a cylinder line but 100% unfired and also a 625 Classic that I bought as NIB from an estate but it has been test fired, however I don't know if that was at the factory or by the original buyer. Both are in the original boxes with all papers, tool kits, etc. Doesn't really matter because I am loading up some ammo and will shoot them both! So, proud to show my two new Smiths:

25-7's are to me, sooooo...COOOOOOL! Wish I had 1. Do have a 25-15, 45Colt, and a 625JM. Really like 45 revolvers. Enjoy them! Bob

My 25-7's absolutely love the 255gr Tumblelube Lee bullet over 10 grains of Unique. But they shoot better than I can so as of yet I'm still working to compete. I am going to try and get spare cylinder assemblies for them so TK custom can mill them for 45ACP. What a brace of pistols they are.

BTW the 625 ain't no slouch either.

I must admit my education is lacking when it comes to 45 Colt or 45LC. I do know it is one of the loadings that made the transition from black powder to smokeless powder. Tell me about modern loadings used in modern firearms. Seems as if there is plenty of case capacity for magnum power with heavy bullets.
