Finally - the 1899 .38 Short-Barrel project is done !

Mike,

A lot of planning and work went into those one-of-a-kind "pairs". l look forward to seeing you and them in Spokane.

The 'show' is the annual meeting of the S&W Collectors Association. To attend,
you either have to be a member of S&WCA, or have a friend who will serve as your
escort for the day, and pay the guest fee.

Now you need to build that 8" Nickel gun.
Jim

love those little short target guns. have you shot any of them yet?

Most of the harder work, for me, was the design and the planning. Once we figured out
how to do the machining, the rest was a lot of good craftsmanship.

Jim

Interesting thought. Thanks to you, I'm certainly in a position to do that. However,
there were only two 8-inch 1899's made, so a third one now seems curious. Also, I'm
not a fan of long-barrel targets.

No, I've not shot them. But Dave Chicoine Jr did, and he thought they were just fine.

Regards, Mike
