I was finally able to trade my XDM and traded it for a Shield 9mm. It came with 90 rounds and and MTR pancake holster and my Alien Gear IWB holster just came in too! Gotta get at least one more magazine, and I'm gonna fire it some to see if I need to get the APEX trigger kit, then want to start looking for sights..Cant wait to keep reading here and trying to decide on sights

There are lots of sights to consider. The Apex trigger upgrade is just a minor improvement over the stock Shield trigger. The Shields all came with a much better trigger pull and tactile reset. The Apex does improve it some, but not as drastically as with the older trigger pulls on the other M&Ps.

I sold my glock 19 and bought a new 9mm shield with it and still had a few bucks left over. it was a great move. love it

For sights, I'd recommend Ameriglo I-dot and/or Tru-Glo TFOs.

awesome about the trigger (which means more money for ammo haha) I'll have to look those sights up. This will be my primary carry, so I'm looking to get it as slick and useful as possible..

Next up is the 45c for a "fun gun" haha

I EDC a Shield and love it. The trigger is quite good for a factory trigger, but you may experience some grittiness initially, but it will smooth out. I like the TruGlo TFO sights. I use Hornady Critical Duty 135g +P ammo for EDC.
